It is essential to establish procedures that facilitate the development of skills and knowledge in workers to optimize their performance in the work environment. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of labor policies on employee performance in both public and private organizations. The methodology applied was based on a bibliographic and documentary review. For data collection, scientific research was searched in platforms such as Scielo, Redalyc, Scopus, Dialnet and Google Scholar, using the descriptors “labor policies ‘ and ’labor performance”. It is concluded that labor policies are an essential mechanism for decision-making that involves all actors in the labor process, in order to promote social justice and protect the rights of each worker. Furthermore, these policies are intended to address issues related to unemployment and to promote performance-based job creation. Its key principles include equality, social justice, protection of human rights and prevention of labor exploitation.
