RIVERA CAMPOS, Amable Cecilia. Socio-emotional competencies in teachers: a systematic review. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.3, e0503113. Epub May 25, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14642456.
The research explored the relevance of socio-emotional competencies in the educational field, highlighting the role of educators and the benefits they offer to the training process. A literature review was carried out using various recognized databases such as Scopus, EBSCO, Redalyc, Scielo, ScienceDirect, Web of Science and Eric. The methodology consisted of a systematic review of studies published between 2020 and 2024, selecting and evaluating relevant articles to obtain a comprehensive view of the topic investigated and the strategies that educational institutions have implemented to train teachers in socio-emotional competencies. The findings indicated that the training of educators in socio-emotional competencies such as self-awareness, empathy and social skills improves the school environment, the academic performance of students and the professional performance of teachers. It is concluded that it is essential to integrate these competencies into teacher training, providing them with fundamental tools to face the challenges of the educational environment and promote the complete development of their students.
