This research focuses on analyzing how innovation strategies in administrative management can improve operational efficiency and institutional development in public schools in Ecuador. The problem lies in the limited adoption of technological tools and innovative approaches, generating slow processes that affect the ability to adapt and put the sustainability of these institutions at risk. With the aim of proposing methodologies that optimize resources and strengthen management. We worked with a sample of administrative staff from various institutions, using surveys, interviews and focus groups. The results revealed that technological tools improve automation and decision-making, although they face barriers such as lack of training and resistance to change. In addition, trainings aligned with institutional needs and committed leadership were key factors for success. It is concluded that administrative innovation is essential to optimize educational management and guarantee institutional sustainability.

Keywords : administrative management; innovation; operational efficiency.
