Abstract
GRANDA, Francis Karina Valenzuela; ARREGUI, Sinthia Elizabeth Rivadeneira; MENDOZA, Jean Carlos Indacochea and TAMAYO, Mónica Gioconda Llerena. High performance sports planning: methodological variables in training. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.4, e504034. Epub June 19, 2025. The objective of the study is focused on determining the methodological variables that are considered in high-performance sports planning. The research has a qualitative approach, therefore the PRISMA methodology is used, in order to select the inquiries related to the topic raised. Initially, 63 scientific investigations were identified from different data sources, such as: Scielo, EBSCO, Dialnet, Redalyc, being 16 selected for analysis and review. The findings of the different analyzed investigations agree that the methodological variables vary according to the type of physical activity, however, mention is made of the importance of psychological and nutritional aspects, variables inherent to training, and even the need to prevent injuries through physiotherapy intervention, cardiological assessments for the prevention of sudden deaths and genetic analysis to understand why an athlete tends to develop more anaerobic and/or aerobic performance. It is concluded that multidisciplinary work is important in order to cover the relevant areas that high-performance athletes require to achieve their goals. This is in line with the different variables that are analyzed in sports planning, since it corresponds to different scientific fields and each of them has the necessary tools for its measurement.
Keywords : high sporting level; sports training; planning; methodological process.
