Sustainable development is a global challenge that needs to be incorporated into higher education through university social responsibility. This research evaluates the correlation between sustainable development and the four dimensions that make up university social responsibility, which include university education, research, community ties and institutional management, from the point of view of the students of a management school. A quantitative approach was adopted with a non-experimental and cross-sectional methodological design, applying surveys to a sample of 259 students. The evidence obtained reflects significant correlations between sustainable development and each of the dimensions analyzed. University education showed the strongest association, with a Spearman correlation value of 0.703 and a significance threshold of less than 0.05, followed by institutional management with a coefficient of 0.566, research with a coefficient of 0.493 and community bonding with a coefficient of 0.346, all with a significance threshold of less than 0.05. Based on these findings, it is concluded that higher education institutions should strengthen their commitment to university social responsibility through comprehensive strategies that allow the preparation of professionals with a greater awareness of the environmental and social challenges of the current context.
