Resumen

TORIBIO GAVIDIA, Claudia Maribel. Resilience explained by victimization and school climate in students of educational institutions. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.4, e504062.  Epub 25-Jun-2025. ISSN 2739-0063.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14845176.

The present study sought to determine to what extent victimization and school climate explain the resilience observed in students from educational institutions in Trujillo. To do so, a basic methodology with a quantitative approach was used, whose empirical design was based on an associative-explanatory strategy. From a population of 2,852 students, a sample of 400 was selected for the study. The selection considered the main categories of the research, namely: resilience scale (RE), peer victimization (VE-I) and school climate (CECSCE). The results revealed that school climate is a stronger predictor of resilience (β = .40, p < .001) than victimization (β = -0.09, p < .001). Also, a significant and negative relationship was found between victimization and school climate (β = -.45, p < .001), indicating an important covariance between these variables. In addition, it was found that some students experienced high levels of physical violence in the classroom. In response, the implementation of preventive programs focused on strategies to strengthen resilience to situations of violence was recommended.

Palabras clave : school climate; resilience; victimization.
