The main objective of the research was to determine the influence of disaster risk management on the culture of prevention within schools. To this end, a basic methodology was used with a quantitative approach and an explanatory level, using a non-experimental design, in addition to developing two instruments, which were validated by experts and subjected to reliability tests. The study was also carried out with a sample of 33 participants, obtaining the following results: 45.5% of respondents perceive that disaster risk management is carried out in a timely and regular manner. Similarly, 57.2% consider that there is an efficient prevention culture. Statistical analysis revealed a significance of 0.001 and a Nagelkerke Pseudo R square value of 0.531. Based on these findings, it is concluded that disaster risk management influences 53.1% in the construction of a culture of prevention in school premises. This highlights the importance of strengthening these strategies to ensure that, in the event of an earthquake, those involved can respond quickly and effectively thanks to their prior preparation.
