VERA MENA, Mayra Antonella; ROCANO SALINAS, Bryam Alejandro; DIAZ CEVALLOS, Valeria Michelle y CUMBICUS CULQUICONDOR, Manuel De Jesus. Laparoscopic myomectomy in adult women with fibroids. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.4, e504078. Epub 12-Jun-2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14884912.
The present study was carried out through a systematic review that included scientific articles published between 2016 and 2025. Various databases were used, including Scopus, Scielo, Medline, Pubmed, and Latindex. The selected studies were organized following the PRISMA protocol, resulting in a total of 20 articles that provide relevant information on laparoscopic myomectomy, a minimally invasive surgical technique designed to treat uterine fibroids that cause symptoms in patients. The research showed that its use is recommended in cases where fibroids are relatively few, specifically those classified as types 3 to 7 according to the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) classification, as long as their size does not exceed 9 centimeters. This surgical modality offers multiple advantages compared to myomectomy performed by laparotomy.
Palabras clave : fibroids; infertility; laparoscopic myomectomy; bleeding.
