Abstract
DAMIAN NUNEZ, Edgar Froilan et al. Administrative processes and results-based management in higher education. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.4, e504085. Epub June 12, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14920699.
In the context of higher education, administrative processes play a key role in the efficient management of institutions, particularly when they are oriented towards results-based management. Therefore, the objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between administrative processes and results-based management in public universities, evaluating their impact on strategic planning and decision-making. To do so, a quantitative approach was adopted, with a non-experimental, causal correlational design. A population of 206 collaborators was worked with, selecting a probabilistic sample of 135 participants. They answered structured questionnaires designed to analyze the variables studied. The results show a moderate positive correlation (r = 0.65, p < 0.05) between administrative processes and results-based management, indicating that better administration directly impacts institutional efficiency. However, challenges related to staff training and the implementation of digitalization in processes were identified. The study concludes that strengthening administrative management and modernizing information systems are fundamental strategies to improve efficiency in higher education, thus ensuring sustainable institutional development.
