CARHUANCHO MENDOZA, Irma Milagros. Managerial skills and business management: a perspective from employees. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.4, e504097. Epub 12-Jun-2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14997059.
The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between management skills and business management from the perspective of employees in an Industrial Park in Lima. To this end, a quantitative approach was adopted with a non-experimental, descriptive correlational design, supported by the hypothetical deductive method. Data were collected using validated questionnaires that passed the Cronbach's Alpha reliability test with values of 0.966 and 0.88 for the variables management skills and business management, respectively. The hypotheses were contrasted using the Spearman Correlation test, revealing a positive relationship between management skills and business management (Rho = 0.203, p = 0.005). Communication and emotional skills showed a significant relationship with business management. However, the overall impact of management skills was moderate. In addition, external factors such as financing, infrastructure and state regulation also influenced the competitiveness of SMEs.
