Abstract
RAMOS CORDOVA, Milagros; ILLA-SIHUINCHA, Godofredo Pastor and RAMOS SERRANO, Shelby Hubert. Exploring female entrepreneurship: analysis of endogenous and exogenous factors using structural equations. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.4, e504105. Epub June 25, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15048307.
The objective of this work was to analyze the endogenous and exogenous factors that challenge women-led entrepreneurship in Peru. Variables such as intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, external factors and entrepreneurial success were explored and analyzed using PLS-SEM structural equations. To achieve the objectives, the causal-predictive research methodology was applied, using online surveys to 490 women entrepreneurs, 433 of whose answers were validated. Results reveal that the main motivations for entrepreneurship include the fulfillment of personal goals, contribution to social development, and the search for financial security. However, lack of resources limits investment in human capital and slows entrepreneurial growth. It is concluded that it is essential to promote support policies, such as tax incentives and access to financing, in order to foster a more fav-ourable environment for women entrepreneurs. Findings indicate that the lack of economic resources and government support are critical factors affecting the growth of these women entrepreneurs.
