Abstract
RIMASCCA RODRIGUEZ, Ivonne Karin; JARA VELARDE, Gloria María and CONTRERAS ALMANZA, Carmen Amelia. Play as a pedagogical strategy in teaching children based on a systematic review. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.4, e504108. Epub June 25, 2025. ISSN 2739-0063. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15091433.
This research, conducted through a systematic review, highlights the importance of play as a pedagogical strategy in teaching children to achieve meaningful learning. The methodology included an exhaustive search of leading academic databases such as Scielo, Dialnet, and Scopus, using the PRISMA methodology with rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria. Finally, 20 articles published between 2019 and 2024 in Spanish were selected. The results highlight the fundamental role of play in early childhood education, as it promotes physical, cognitive, and creative development, in addition to facilitating conflict resolution through playful activities. This strategy not only encourages fun learning but also enhances the development of essential skills for children's comprehensive development, including social interaction, emotional development, and self-esteem.
Keywords : meaningful learning; pedagogical strategy; play.
