ALBINO-ACUNA DE CADEMA, Magaly Susana; ROMERO-ACEVEDO, Juan Hugo; OYOLA-CANTO, María Santos  y  GARCIA-RAMOS, Gilda. Learning communities, challenges and challenges in basic education: bibliometric trends. Revista InveCom [online]. 2025, vol.5, n.4, e504002.  Epub 12-Jun-2025. ISSN 2739-0063.  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14835111.

The objective of this research was to analyze bibliometric trends in relation to academic communities and how they face the challenges and challenges in basic education from 2004 to 2024. In this research, a quantitative approach and a bibliometric method were used. From the Scopus database, 482 papers were selected in total, where the results show that, with an increase of 21.6%, the United States surpassed all other nations in terms of scientific output. In fact, the total amount of published data increased by 42.7% from 2018 to 2023. On the other hand, the most applicable academic disciplines were social sciences (65.4%) and computer science (8.5%). Pallant, E. was positioned as the most referenced author with 103 citations, while "Community College Journal of Research and Practice" was the most notable source with 7 publications. This concludes that research on basic educational communities has evolved with respect to the scope of the topics covered, thanks to institutional support, commitment and collaboration among the authors. Therefore, this bibliometric analysis represents a basis for future research, and it is necessary to expand the commitment in conjunction with public policies, educational institutions, and communities in order to ensure that learning measures are implemented effectively, thus guaranteeing meaningful, inclusive, and equitable teaching for all students.

Palabras clave : learning; basic education; bibliometrics.
