Endometrial polyps are abnormal growths that develop and attach to the surface of the uterus, specifically the endometrium tissue. These lesions can appear in two forms: pedunculated, which have a stalk that supports them, or sessile, which are firmly anchored without a stalk. Inside, the polyps contain endometrial glands, stromal tissue, and blood vessels that provide them with the necessary nutrients. Patients may experience obvious symptoms or, in some cases, no symptoms at all. Among gynecological problems, abnormal uterine bleeding is the most common symptom associated with this condition. Hysteroscopic resection of endometrial polyps is performed to rule out malignancy and relieve irregular bleeding. In order to delve deeper into this topic, the present study is based on the analysis of various scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025. To this end, a systematic review was carried out following the PRISMA protocol, using databases such as Scopus, Scielo, Medline, Pubmed and Latindex, which provide relevant information for the research. 20 articles were selected that provide significant data on the treatment investigated. It is concluded that hysteroscopic polypectomy is a surgical procedure considered safe and effective for the treatment of various gynecological conditions, especially in relation to uterine polyps.
