Abstract
The study analyzes the impact of fake news in the Peruvian alpaca textile sector during the post COVID-19 phase, in the dimensions of production, sales and consumption. With a quantitative level methodology, cross-sectional experimental design and the use of the questionnaire and the interview form as instruments, the results reveal how a high proportion of respondents received false information, affecting 82%-95% of the participants depending on the sector. It is concluded that fake news constitutes a significant challenge for the alpaca textile sector in Peru, especially in the post COVID-19 period. Therefore, a proactive approach in the digital communication management of alpaca textile companies could mitigate the negative impacts of fake news and maintain their position in the global arena.
