DIAZ-GRANDA, Juan Sebastián; CHACON-GOMEZ, Nayibe Eloina  and  CASTRO-SANCHEZ, Fernando de Jesús. This research examines the role of notaries and the relevance of notarial law in everyday life, as well as the requirements and formalities necessary to access their services. Its main objective is to identify the limits that notaries must not exceed in the exercise of their functions. It addresses the essential function of the notary, their history, and the legal basis that regulates them. Subsequently, it analyzes the fundamental principles that govern notarial law, guiding notaries and those who require their services, given that these officials, vested with public faith, authorize and formalize contracts, acts, and legal events. In particular, the study focuses on the legal power of notaries to make notarial certifications at the request of a party, highlighting the importance of clearly defining their scope of application and the limitations they must observe when exercising this function, thus ensuring legal certainty and regulatory compliance.
