This study analyzes notarial public faith as a cornerstone of legal security in acts and contracts related to the Property Registry in Ecuador. The notarial function, performed by duly authorized professionals, confers authenticity, certainty, and a presumption of veracity on transactions ranging from contract execution to property transfers. Employing a qualitative approach, the research examines the conceptual, historical, and practical dimensions shaping the application of notarial public faith and the challenges impeding its comprehension within notarial and registry practice. To this end, doctrine, jurisprudence, and current regulations are exhaustively reviewed, tracing the evolution of the notarial principle, identifying its theoretical underpinnings, and evaluating its effectiveness in the Ecuadorian context. The analysis of core concepts enables an assessment of how notarial public faith contributes to institutional strengthening, litigation prevention, and the fostering of economic and social confidence in Ecuador.
