Abstract

The hiring of qualified personnel is a pillar for competitiveness and quality of service in financial institutions. This research aimed to propose improvements to streamline and optimize the process of hiring qualified personnel Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Indígenas Galápagos Ltda. A mixed methodology is used, which includes the application of surveys to administrative and managerial personnel. The results showed critical limitations, such as the lack of a formally established contracting process; There are inconsistencies in the verification of documents and poor internal communication is manifested during the selection. It is concluded that it is essential to implement a standardized procedure that includes more robust selection filters and continuous training for the officials responsible for conducting the recruitment. This allows the cooperative to have the ideal human capital, aligned with its institutional objectives and the specific demand of each job.
