Abstract

SANCHEZ-MORALES, Estefanía Del Carmen  and  ROMERO-FERNANDEZ, Ariel José. Automated design for supplying clothing to medical science students at Uniandes. Noesis [online]. 2025, vol.7, n.esp2, pp.1435-1449.  Epub Dec 31, 2025. ISSN 2739-0365.  https://doi.org/10.35381/noesisin.v7i2.666.

Within the supply chain, storage centers are the main hub, given the high cash flow involved in the processes. The Technology Transfer and Development Center, which markets clothing for medical science students at UNIANDES, has been experiencing several bottlenecks, making it extremely important to improve the conditions of the procurement and sales process. The objective of this article is to create an automated design for the clothing supply process, which requires the implementation of a supplier ranking system, the management of projections based on the number of students in each program, the generation of a reorder point, and the establishment of an economic batch size for a prudent and varied inventory.
