Introduction:
A possible side effect of orthodontic treatment, primarily caused by poor oral hygiene, is the presence of early caries lesions (white spots). Various treatments have been proposed for white spot lesions, with the successful camouflage effect produced by infiltrant resins, resulting in an appearance similar to healthy enamel, generating a positive impact both clinically and in the patient’s aesthetics.
Objective:
The purpose of this paper is to report the clinical case of a patient with white spots after orthodontics on upper incisors using ICON® resin Infiltraiton as a minimally invasive therapeutic alternative.
Case presentation:
This is a 20-year-old female patient with no relevant medical history, diagnosed with white spot lesions present on the upper incisors after orthodontic treatment. ICON® Resin Infiltraiton protocol was performed, obtaining satisfactory results.
Conclusion:
The use of minimally invasive therapies with ICON® Resin Infiltraiton demonstrated optimal aesthetic results for white spot lesions after orthodontics in the case presented.
