Playful activities of gross motor coordination aimed at 2-year-old children of the Private Educational Institution N ° 00696-Huancavelica. e-Rev. Multidiscip. Saber [online]. 2023, vol.1, e-RMS01082023.  Epub 02-Sep-2023. ISSN 2960-2467.  https://doi.org/10.61286/e-rms.v1i.17.

The objective of this research was to determine the influence of recreational activities on the development of gross motor coordination in 2-year-old boys and girls. For this, an experimental design was carried out with a pretest-posttest group, made up of 10 boys and girls enrolled in the Private Educational Institution No. 00696-Huancavelica. A pretest was applied to evaluate the initial level of gross motor coordination, using a checklist and an anecdotal record. Then, a program of recreational activities was implemented for four weeks, with a frequency of three sessions per week and a duration of 45 minutes per session. The recreational activities were based on games of movement, balance, jumps, throws and receptions, among others. An information record was used in the classroom to control attendance and the development of activities. Finally, a posttest was applied to measure the final level of gross motor coordination, using the same instruments as the pretest. The results indicated that there was a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest in the dependent variable gross motor coordination, which means that the playful activities program had a positive effect on the improvement of this ability in early childhood. It was observed that the boys and girls improved their performance in the dimensions of muscle tone and strength, as well as in the dynamic body domain.

Palabras clave : Recreational activities; gross motor coordination; initial education; comprehensive development.
