In the context of peasant communities, their knowledge and understanding play a fundamental role in promoting effective participation in international markets. The objective of the research was to determine the level of knowledge of the International Physical Distribution in the Community of Farmers of Picoy, 2021. The research was quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional in design. As a data collection instrument, a 25-item questionnaire on the Likert rating scale was applied, which was validated by expert judgment. The sample was made up of 28 peasant farmers from the community of Picoy. For data processing, the SPSS version 22 program was used, using Cronbach's Alpha statistics, a reliability of 0.928 was obtained. The results show training gaps in the studied population. 82.14% of participants were men between 50 and 59 years old (42.86%) with completed secondary education (46.43%). Regarding knowledge of DFI, more than 60% stated that they had no knowledge about international transport contracts, support for commercial agreements and benefits of these agreements. Likewise, lack of knowledge about proformas and distribution channels exceeded 45%. In conclusion, the Picoy peasant community presents a very low level of knowledge about the various processes and tools linked to DFI and export. Greater training and inclusion of farmers is urgently needed to democratize knowledge about foreign trade, energize the local economy and take advantage of the productive potential of the region.
