ROPA-CARRION, Brígido et al. Managing schools in the new millennium: a commitment to generational learning. e-Rev. Multidiscip. Saber [online]. 2024, vol.2, e-RMS01312024. Epub 03-Jun-2025. ISSN 2960-2467. https://doi.org/10.61286/e-rms.v2i.103.
School management, as an integral process, involves the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of all actions, activities, and processes developed in the school to achieve the established educational goals. Therefore, school management is considered a key factor for the quality of learning achievements, as it facilitates the harmonization, dynamization, and commitment of all elements of the school system towards fulfilling educational goals. This manuscript highlights the importance of school management and analyzes this concept in line with the approaches of the positivist science of educational administration, strategic or post-positivist educational management, complex management, and holistic management. It also reflects on the urgent need to train specialized educational managers and the structure of management according to the mentioned approaches. For this purpose, the guidelines and principles of the qualitative research approach and the hermeneutic circle method have been followed.
