ESTEBAN RIVERA, Edwin Roger; ORTEGA SANTILLAN, Yunior Teobaldo; VELASQUEZ, David Saavedra  and  SAMA EUGENIO, Gromer Yamil. Tourist circuit of Tomay-Kichwa, Ambo, Huánuco: Evaluation of its potential. e-Rev. Multidiscip. Saber [online]. 2025, vol.3, e-RMS16022025.  Epub June 25, 2025. ISSN 2960-2467.  https://doi.org/10.61286/e-rms.v3i.164.

In recent years, the number of people traveling around the world for leisure or recreation has increased significantly, driving the growth of economic activities such as tourism. However, this increase has not been accompanied by a proportional expansion in the offer of tourist destinations, which makes it necessary to develop new circuits that diversify and expand the options for visitors. In this context, the objective of this article was to evaluate the potential of a tourist circuit in the district of Tomay-kichwa, located in the province of Ambo, region of Huánuco, Peru. Evaluative research was adopted, using as an analysis tool the methodology proposed by the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico, which allows for a comprehensive examination of the different components of tourism supply and demand. The results show that, although the Tomay- kichwa district has numerous natural and cultural attractions, many of them are not visited due to the lack of dissemination of their tourist value and accessibility problems. It is essential to implement a comprehensive tourism promotion plan that encourages the development of this economic activity in the area.
