This study examines the role of soft skills in the employment integration of Venezuelan migrants in Chile, focusing on their capacity for professional adaptation. Using a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews, the research identifies individual strategies, institutional barriers, and intercultural dynamics that influence occupational mobility. The findings highlight that adaptability, resilience, intercultural communication, and leadership have been critical for career advancement. Despite obstacles related to credential recognition and labor market segmentation, participants secured positions in fields such as sales, services, engineering, and quality management by leveraging cross-cutting competencies. The theoretical analysis integrates perspectives on human capital, emotional intelligence, resilience, and cultural rootedness, also considering spiritual well-being as a factor in emotional stability. The study recommends improving credential validation processes, strengthening professional networks, and fostering intercultural competencies-strategies that could be applied in other migratory contexts. These contributions are relevant for the development of public policies aimed at facilitating the integration of highly skilled migrants.
