This research addresses the issue of environmental pollution at Las Palmeras Beach, located in the district of Tambo de Mora, Chincha, a situation that negatively affects the area’s tourism development. The main objective was to analyze how environmental tourism culture contributes to reducing this pollution. The study employed a qualitative, descriptive approach, with a phenomenological design and an inductive method. A semi-structured interview guide comprising 16 questions, previously validated by experts, was applied to stakeholders involved in local environmental management: one administrator of the Tambo de Mora landing stage, two municipal workers, three chemical engineers, one environmental engineer, and one technology and environment teacher. The findings reveal that strategies such as educational talks, group beach-cleaning days, and other participatory actions strengthen environmental tourism culture by increasing knowledge, promoting responsible behavior, and encouraging active participation among stakeholders. The study concludes that awareness-raising and sensitization activities should be implemented continuously and under constant supervision. Furthermore, it is recommended to develop engaging educational campaigns led by the municipality and supported as part of the social responsibility initiatives of local fishing industries.
