This research is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4), as it actively promotes the improvement of student learning, and significantly promotes the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as a key tool to improve reading comprehension in the school environment. In this academic and social context, the main objective of this study is to determine the relationship between the use of ICT and reading comprehension in students of an educational institution located in the city of Huancayo, during the year 2025. The research was of a basic type, with a quantitative methodological approach, a correlational level, a non-experimental and cross-sectional design, using a sample of 94 students in the fifth grade of primary education, to whom two previously validated questionnaires were applied. The results obtained show that most of the fifth grade students of the Huancayo Educational Institution unit of analysis perceive an average level (56%) of ICT use and an average level (57%) of reading comprehension. Likewise, it was also evident that students perceive a high level (49%) in the pedagogical area, a medium level (42%) in the technological area and a high level (27%) in the communicative area. In conclusion, it was determined that the relationship between the use of ICT and reading comprehension in students of Educational Institution No. 31506 is significant (Rho = 0.44; p = 0.000 < 0.05), which validates the hypothesis proposed.
