The research sought to determine if the coping program strengthens resilience in families or caregivers of patients with schizophrenia in northern Peru. With a quantitative approach and pre-experimental applied research, the Resilience Scale was applied to 25 adult family members of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia. It was found that the pretest resilience was scored by the participants, mostly at a medium level, with 88%, followed by a high level of 12%, while the posttest resilience was high (100%). This allowed observing a considerable percentage difference, which, with the Wilcoxon test, indicates an improvement in the second measure of resilience, and, with a sig. .000, indicates that it is highly significant. Therefore, it is accepted that the coping program significantly strengthens resilience in families or caregivers of patients with schizophrenia.
