Abstract
CAMPOS TORRES, Miguel Leonardo. The role of digital transformation in access to microfinance and its impact on the innovation and competitiveness of artisan microenterprises in Huancayo, Peru. e-Rev. Multidiscip. Saber [online]. 2025, vol.3, e-RMS02102025. Epub Oct 25, 2025. ISSN 2960-2467. https://doi.org/10.61286/e-rms.v3i.277.
Based on a sample of 47 artisan enterprises, structured questionnaires were applied to gather information on demographic characteristics, use of digital technologies, mobile financial services, innovation indicators, and business performance. The reliability of the instrument was validated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which yielded a value of 0.97, ensuring excellent internal consistency. The methodological analysis included descriptive statistical techniques, K-Means cluster analysis, Apriori association analysis, and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). These tools allowed for the strategic segmentation of entrepreneurs into profiles based on their level of digital adoption, operational management, and monitoring frequency. Critical gaps were identified in marketing (82.98%) and finance (70.21%), particularly within the Wood and Ceramics groups, which require targeted institutional interventions. In contrast, the Textiles and Metals groups showed greater technological integration and commercial scaling potential. Furthermore, a coexistence between innovation and cultural heritage was evident, where artisans successfully adapt their products to global trends without losing their symbolic identity. The study concludes that digital transformation represents a strategic opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness of the artisan sector, provided it's accompanied by technical training, contextualized administrative management, and differentiated public policies that recognize territorial specificities.
