Cognitive engineering and applied informatics emerge as fundamental pillars in the comprehensive management of vectors, revolutionizing public health with innovative solutions. Globally, advanced technologies such as drones, remote sensors and computer models have optimized the identification of breeding sites and the effectiveness of control strategies. These tools analyze vast data sets and predict epidemic outbreaks, strengthening the response to health emergencies. In developing regions, where climatic and health factors exacerbate the incidence of vector- borne diseases, artificial intelligence and advanced data analysis are transforming decision-making, enabling more efficient management of resources. Mathematical models and deep learning algorithms demonstrate the potential of these technologies in the fight against dengue and malaria. At the local level, communities face technological and economic challenges that limit access to these tools. However, digital and mobile platforms have demonstrated their value by improving coordination between health authorities and the population, encouraging community participation in outbreak reporting and vector control.
