The importance of school coexistence and its relationship with curricular sports activities are fundamental elements in the school community today, especially in the Latin American context. In reference to this, school violence is a worrying issue due to the inappropriate behaviors of students, presenting lack of control and emotional dysregulation. In this regard, school coexistence encourages training based on mutual respect, democratic participation and conflict resolution. On the other hand, extracurricular sports activities at school allow the development of social skills that reinforce coexistence among students and therefore promote healthy school coexistence in inclusive and safe spaces. The research aims to reflect on the impact of school coexistence on the development of extracurricular sports activities at school. Among the necessary elements to promote healthy school coexistence and sports activities, it refers to using a formative educational approach that favors empathy, respect for diversity and teamwork as fundamental principles. This is how, through extracurricular activities, they will promote motivation, social cohesion and collective well-being. contributing to the improvement of school coexistence. To this end, teachers play a fundamental role in their role as mediators and promoters of environments conducive to respect, learning and cooperation. In conclusion, promoting sports activities with a formative and inclusive approach is a valuable tool for improving school coexistence.
