ABOUT THE JOURNAL

Basic Information

e-Multidisciplinary Journal of Knowledge is an electronic journal with continuous publication, peer-reviewed and indexed, open access, which originated from the Research Center for Health and Environment Technologies CITSA.

It is based on the publication of original articles of various kinds, such as scientific articles, opinion pieces, special articles, data articles, research protocols, bibliographic reviews, short communications, book reviews, essays, and technical, scientific, and preliminary notes, among others, by national and international authors and researchers of recognized expertise, who actively contribute to the process of knowledge building through the dissemination of their latest research and literary productions.

Our new scope will remain firmly within the framework of Social Sciences, but with a broader and contemporary vision that encompasses emerging interconnections with technology and sustainability. With a multidisciplinary focus centered on behavior, well-being, and human health and its complex interrelations with society, the literary productions will be organized into the following study areas, now more clearly defined for greater clarity and specialization:

  • Sciences of Social and Cultural Evolution: This category encompasses the study of society across time and space. It will include topics such as Demography, Archaeology, History, and Human Ecology, with a special emphasis on how history and demography interact with technological development and current environmental challenges.
  • Cognitive and Legal Sciences: This section delves into the study of the human mind and legal systems. Dissertations in Psychology and Law are welcomed, as well as studies at the intersection of these fields with Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, analyzing, for example, the ethical aspects of AI or the impact of technology on human behavior.
  • Human Interaction Sciences: This section explores the dynamics of social relationships. Articles grounded in Anthropology, Economics, Ethnography, and Sociology will be published, with a particular focus on the digital economy, social networks, and new forms of community organization.
  • Applied Social Sciences and Innovation: This area focuses on the application of knowledge to solve contemporary problems. Studies in Management, Urban Planning, Pedagogy, Accounting, and International Relations are encouraged. In addition, computer science and applied computing, as well as sustainable applied engineering, will be actively incorporated, with articles demonstrating how technology and sustainable engineering can serve as tools to promote human well-being—from designing healthier cities to optimizing health and education services.

We owe it to our readers; therefore, all our publications undergo a rigorous double-blind external peer review process to maintain the high quality of each article presented, as well as to facilitate indexing in various international databases for greater visibility of the published works, all in accordance with the updated APA 2023 guidelines (Guidelines for authors).

The e-RMS is an open access journal with continuous publication.
