About the Revista de Obstetricia y Ginecología de Venezuela

The Sociedad de Obstetricia y Ginecología de Venezuela, a non-profit civil association of a scientific, academic, cultural, and social nature, has had the mission, since its creation more than 70 years ago, to work on everything related to women's health in all stages of their lives.

Its main objective is the study, dissemination, and improvement of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as all aspects related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, in order to preserve women's health, gestation, and human reproduction.

It is an institution that brings together all doctors related to the specialty, guiding their practice towards the goals pursued by the society, with the sole objective of achieving an improvement in the profession in the daily practice of care for Venezuelan women.

It promotes continuous medical education, the updating of medical-surgical techniques related to the specialty, and provides social support to its members. As a society, we have a statute and regulations that govern our functions, which embody the legal characteristics that contemplate the duties and rights of its members, which strengthens the exercise of our profession.
