Process for Article Publication

Authors must submit their works through the OJS platform, and they will be informed promptly of the submission deadlines.

The editorial process timelines are as follows:

  • 3 days for the first response from the section editor or forwarding to peer review.
  • 10 to 20 days for the editor's response to reviewers' observations.
  • 1 to 3 months after approval, publication of the article on the journal's website.

Initially, the study area, topic, format, and relevance of the article will be considered, notifying the authors of the following:

  1. That the article has moved to the peer review stage, where reviewers will be academics considered experts in the study area of the article. This process will last ten calendar days, in an open mode, taking into account the evaluation form available on the OJS platform. This evaluation will also use the double-blind method for authors and reviewers, meaning that reviewers will receive the article without the authors' identities or any other data referencing them, and authors will receive observations without reviewers' data. If there is inconsistency between evaluations, a third evaluation may be considered, adhering to the double-blind standard. Reviewers will perform their duties under confidentiality and impartiality criteria.
  2. That the article is rejected for not being of interest to the journal or for not adhering to the format established by the Journal.

Once the article has been evaluated and presented to the editorial committee, authors will be notified:

  1. In cases where the article is already accepted by the editorial committee, authors must sign a declaration of originality and an authorization for the publication and reproduction rights of the article and its inclusion in databases, websites, or electronic pages, nationally or internationally (Review: Declaration of Originality and Conflict of Interest Declaration Formats). All content of the articles, including texts, tables, figures, and general information included in the material to be published, is the sole responsibility of the authors. Similarly, the article is the responsibility of its authors and does not necessarily reflect the editorial committee's views.
  2. That the article cannot be published because the modifications are too extensive or it does not align with the Journal.
  3. That the article presents minor revisions that can be improved for subsequent publication. Authors will have 15 calendar days to return the article with the suggested corrections, accompanied by a letter explaining the modifications made.

The editorial committee will evaluate whether the observations have been addressed and, if deemed appropriate, will send it back to the peer reviewer. The publication decision will depend on the agreement between the academic peer and the editorial committee, considering the previously made observations. If authors disagree with the peer evaluations, they must send an explanatory letter justifying their position regarding the observations. The journal reserves the right to edit the texts without changing the article's meaning.
