Abstract
RAMIREZ, Andrés Felipe and MUNOZ, Luis Ernesto. COMPARISON OF AN ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL BEHAVIOR’S DYNAMIC MODELS UNDER INTERMEDIATE STRAIN RATES. Rev. LatinAm. Metal. Mater. [online]. 2014, vol.34, n.1, pp.39-44. ISSN 0255-6952.
This paper studies two dynamic models of an elastomeric material behavior when it is subjected to intermediate strain rates. The studied models were the constitutive Maxwell model and the constitutive Cowper & Symonds model. An analytical comparison of each model was performed. Test results were taken from a dynamic material’s characterization and the parameters of each model were identified through a process of multi-variable identification. The level of representation obtained in both cases was studied, in order to analyze the analytical comparison with the results of the multi-variable identification.
Keywords : Dynamic material’s characterization; intermediate strain rates..
