The objective of this study was to analyze leadership for effective rural teaching in Peru. The population was 20 teachers from rural educational institutions in the district of Moro in the department of Ancash, Peru. In the values dimension, the alternative has 60% acceptance, sometimes 35% and 5% never, showing that the positive alternatives have a high favorable percentage, indicating that values are promoted for the effective exercise of rural teaching leadership. The results show the assertive or positive development of rural teacher leadership, which is why the study population is working on the qualities necessary to face the challenges, challenges and weaknesses present in the rural context, especially when the curriculum is designed from the city. Teachers must take responsibility for assuming challenges that imply teaching in unfavorable situations, adapting them and turning these limitations into strengths.
