Playful strategies are a fundamental tool in the learning process of children, contributing to explore creative skills, motor development and the ability to perceive the environment, making it possible to develop the whole person. The objective of the study was to determine the influence of the playful strategies workshop to improve creative thinking in elementary school students. The methodology corresponds to the quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental design with the application of pretest, the development of the playful strategies workshop and the application of the posttest, in a sample of 22 students. The results showed that the playful strategies workshop increases the achievement levels of creative thinking of the students, being the fluency, flexibility, elaboration and originality of creativity the determining factors. Therefore, the playful strategies contribute to form creative students, favoring a favorable change in creative skills to achieve significant learning.
