The purpose of this research was to determine the strengthening of cultural identity through the analysis of a set of didactic strategies. For the methodology, the documentary method and the bibliographic analysis technique were used, and bibliographic and summary sheets were used as instruments. The results showed that the strengthening of cultural identity in rural schools requires an integral approach adapted to the specific needs and contexts of these communities. Therefore, it is concluded that cultural identity in rural schools is of vital importance to develop factors such as: self-esteem and sense of belonging, preservation of local culture, connection with the environment, development of intercultural skills and appreciation of cultural diversity.
